As mentioned, the i6 is an unlocked GSM/GPRS smartphone that can accommodate two SIM cards simultaneously. It allows you to answer and make personal and business phone calls on the same handset. You can choose to use both SIM cards or either one of them as you wish.
Like most smartphones, the i6 comes with a WAP wireless Web browser, Bluetooth 2.0, speakerphone, text and multimedia messaging, as well as organizational tools such as calendar, calculator, alarm clock, unit converter, currency converter and E-book reader. For social butterflies who want to stay connected all the time, the preloaded shortcuts for MSN, Facebook, Twitter and eBuddy would be useful as well.
On the entertainment department, you will find a simple music player that supports background play. The dual camera comes with auto-focus, flash and video capturing abilities. Other media options include a sound recorder, a video player, an FM radio and an image viewer. You also get a phone book that stores up to 500 contacts. The phone itself does not offer much memory, but it is expandable up to 8GB with a microSD card.
As for the hardware, the i6 has a slim slate form factor that measures 104 by 55 by 13.5 millimeters (H x W x D) and weighs only 112g. Above the spacious keyboard is a nice 2.2" WQVGA full-color screen. The black casing with silver rim gives the smartphone a sophisticated look and a sturdy construction. There is a built-in flashlight on the top spine while on the bottom spine, you will find a 2.5mm headset jack, a mini-USB port and a charging port.
Overall, the i6 represents a combination of an attractive design, a comfortable keyboard and a functional feature set. If you are a first-time smartphone user and want to find an easy-to-use smartphone that won’t break the bank, the i6 is definitely the one.
