Pantech Impact P7000 – Made for Quick Messengers and Social Networkers

Released for AT&T, the Pantech Impact P7000 is a feature phone targeted at the texting crowd. Taking advantage of its unique side-flipping form factor, the Impact boasts a full QWERTY keyboard, a large internal display and an impressive external OLED touchpad for optimized text messaging, web browsing and other multimedia options.

The first thing that catches your attention is the high-gloss faceplate on the outside. Using the exterior touchscreen, you can easily text messages, make calls and control music. Open up the clamshell, you get a 2.6-inch LCD display (260K, 400 x 240 resolution), plus a spacious keyboard with one-touch access keys for instant messaging, text, email and multitasking.

With support for AT&T’s 3G network, using the Opera Mini browser for HTML browsing is lightning fast. The Impact is compatible with a variety of broadband services: AT&T Video Share lets you send a live, one-way video stream to another compatible phone; AT&T Navigator provides voice-enabled turn-by-turn driving directions in real time; and AT&T Mobile Music allows you to purchase songs from Napster and eMusic. For playing MP3, AAC+, WAV and other audio files, the Impact has a digital music player built in.

Other important features include stereo Bluetooth, one-touch speakerphone, voice memo recording, Mobile Banking, an address book with 1,000 contacts, plus a 2-megapixel auto-focus camera with video capturing mode. There is 80MB of internal storage, while the microSD card slot supports additional storage up to 32GB. The phone has dimensions of 4.19" by 2.04" by 0.7" (H x W x D) and weighs 4.49 ounces.
