Balance Your Work and Personal Life with BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 / 9330

Research in Motion has just released a sequel to its popular BlackBerry Curve smartphone lineup. Targeting both corporate users and consumers, the BlackBerry Curve 3G keeps the simple and slim form factor of the Curve 8520, but adds built-in GPS and 3G connectivity into its list of capabilities.

Just like its forerunner, the Curve 3G boasts a full QWERTY backlit keyboard and a touch-sensitive optical trackpad, making typing and navigation a breeze. The TFT LCD screen display remains at 2.4 inches and 320x240-pixel resolution. Measuring 4.29" high by 2.36" wide by 0.55" deep and weighing a mere 3.7 ounces, the device is definitely slim and compact enough to slip into your pants pocket.
The new Curve currently uses the BlackBerry 5 OS. Fortunately, it will later be upgraded to the 6.0 version, which will bring us some revamped elements such as a new user interface and a WebKit-based browser.

As usual, RIM offers powerful email and messaging abilities to users. The Curve 3G supports access to a variety of POP3 or IMAP email accounts, such as Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail, as well as BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES). You also get six preloaded instant messaging clients (BlackBerry Messenger, Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger and more), in addition to the standard text and multimedia messaging support.

In the multimedia department, apart from the multiple-format audio and video players, you will also be happy to find the 3.5mm stereo headset jack and dedicated media keys located on the spines of the handset. With BlackBerry Media Sync, you can sync music on your iTunes or Windows Media Players with your computer. And if you want to snap photos and record videos, you can use the built-in 2-megapixel camera with fixed focus and 5x zoom.

As mentioned above, the Curve 3G is integrated with GPS for navigation and location-based services using BlackBerry Maps. Besides, it gives you the ability to view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on the go. And of course, with access to BlackBerry App World, you can purchase and download a lot more mobile applications to further increase productivity.

The new Curve comes in two versions: the 9330 (via Verizon Wireless and Sprint) with 512MB of internal memory, and the 9300 (via T-Mobile) with 256MB of onboard memory. Both devices support microSD expansion up to 32GB. Additional features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, handsfree speakerphone, voice-activated dialing, Visual Voicemail and so on.

The BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 / 9330 is a powerful smartphone packed with robust email capabilities and a bunch of useful productivity tools. If you are in need of an inexpensive and user-friendly device to keep up with your family members, friends and colleagues, it surely won't disappoint you.
